**Job Description Summary**: The Supplier Quality Specialist will be responsible for executing supplier quality activities for GEH New Reactor projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Perform SQS activities for New Reactor project activities focusing on supplier approval, supplier qualification and quality control of the procurement activities.
- Work proactively with suppliers to define specific quality requirements, including development of inspection, verification, and qualification processes, in addition to tests and processes to assure products and services meet the quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Execute supplier quality surveillance program for New Reactor activities.
- Disposition of supplier non-conforming products
- Write and review technical quality documents, plans and procedures
- Maintain Quality Assurance Programs and procedures, and assure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support future error prevention through the use of the corrective action processes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering support or working in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.

Desired Characteristics:

- Knowledge of Nuclear customers, industry programs and competitive environments.
- Exhibit a strong Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Experience in Non-destructive examination (NDE) processes (X-Ray, Ultrasonic, Liquid Penetrant etc.).
- Experience with ASME Code (Section IX Welding and Brazing qualifications and Section XI In-service inspections)
- Experience solving welding related issues
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel to GEH/GE and supplier facilities/sites.
- Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; proven ability to develop team relationships.
- Experience interacting with senior leadership at supplier and/or regulatory organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1 and ISO-9001.
- 2 years of experience in Nuclear quality role
