**Job Details**

**What you will do**:
Project manage sprinkler installation projects in Vancouver, BC and surrounding areas, working directly with the major general contractors, end users and construction management firms on both new building and existing building renovation sprinkler projects. Responsible for overall project management, including coordination with other trades, project scope, risk identification, project methodology, and resource allocation. Maintains control of schedule, scope, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction. Presents to management and/or customers on project updates, schedule, financials and expected end results. Manage vendor relationships throughout the installation. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

**How you will do it**

Project Managers are responsible for managing fire protection projects in commercial, residential, tenant improvements, retrofits and industrial facilities, representing Community Fire.

The PM oversees and communicates project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation.

Develops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts work in progress meetings.

Understands and follows applicable codes, standards, and unique project specifications.

Ensures Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements and departmental procedures are followed. Convey a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor and management.

Coordinates change orders and drives toward overall margin improvement on every job.

**What we look for**

**Required**
- High School Diploma, Red Seal, GSC or PMP.
- Three plus years of experience as a project manager in the Fire Protection industry.
- Ability to work multiple projects at once and work with our superintendent
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both with internal and external customers.
- Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate and to meet the customer's needs.
- Possess a strong and active working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Project). Be able to create tracking spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets and create macros.
- Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivating.
