**Position Highlights**:
Bring your positive energy, expertise and knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety to this exciting role where you can really make a difference You will be supporting the team by proposing and conducting initial assessments, quality reviews and annual OHS programs as a
**Full Time, Representative, Safety & Prevention **for our Biocontainment department.

This regular full-time position is based at
**Central City Tower** located in
**Surrey, BC **with access to transit, shopping, restaurants, and other amenities.

**Your Specific duties will include**:

- Assisting in the development, delivery and tracking of OHS education and training
- Coordinating and conducting annual reviews of OHS programs to ensure best practices are applied
- Organize and administers fit-testing services
- Acting as a resource for internal and external inquiries Health and Safety information and/or assistance
- Monitors and supports data management, and activity and action tracking systems

**Qualifications**:

- Graduated with a Diploma in Occupational Health from a recognized educational institution
- One (1) to three (3) years' recent, related experience in a occupational health and safety setting

Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
Reporting to the Leader or designate, the Representative, Safety & Prevention works with members of the Workplace Health Prevention Team and designated client area to ensure the integration of services that promote occupational health and safety planning, implementation, and sustainment. The Representative supports the Workplace Health Prevention Team and designated client area by proposing and conducting initial incident assessments, quality reviews, and annual Occupational Health & Safety program reviews; develops, coordinates, and provides education/training; interprets, applies, monitors, and provides support of OH&S programs; and acts as initial resource for Workplace Health and the designated program area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Proposes and conducts initial assessment of the incidents, provides recommendations, and completes associated reports in order to assess, evaluate, and control OH&S hazards and mitigate liability.
