Position Overview:
Reporting to the Environment, Health and Safety Programs Manager, the Environment, Health and Safety Programs Lead will provide leadership support for the regional EHS Management System by maintaining data integrity, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing the system structure and supporting tools.

The EHS Programs Lead will
- Work closely with the EHS Operational teams to develop collaborative relationships that promote a sustainable EHS culture environment.
- Lead the implementation of EHS data collection and reporting processes with the team of EHS Coordinators and other branch EHS support functions.
- Engage, mentor, support and motivate EHS Coordinators and administrative support in their development and integration into the positive values and culture within Finning Canada.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making by developing, compiling, and communicating performance metrics to EHS Coordinators and administrative support and highlighting each Coordinator’s and their department’s impact on EHS performance.
- Provide opportunities and guidance that enable the transfer of learning into effective practice for EHS Coordinators and branch EHS administrative support.
- Manage information from multiple tool sources and coach teams to provide timely, high-quality data.

**Job Description**:
Managing Data
- Deliver a simplified and decluttered data entry process of all investigation documentation by collaborating with coordinators to streamline data submission standards and processes to ensure high-quality, timely information that facilitates effective trend monitoring and analytics.
- Manage data integrity from all supporting tools (quality checks, clean up of dead/test data, etc.).
- Work closely with EHS Analyst to ensure data precision and reliability for reporting cycles.
- Establish cascading expectations that promote operational, process and goal alignment across teams, fostering both efficient data submission and streamlined workflow execution.
- Identify opportunities and execution of centralization of common reports for streamlined data management and accessibility.

Lead Coordinator Team
- Provide day-to-day leadership of staff, including recruitment, orientation, performance feedback, and supporting growth and development opportunities for the EH&S department.
- Resolve service level questions or request from the area branches / facilities.
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of support and adjust as needed to ensure that EHS Coordinators and administrative support are equipped with the knowledge, skills and tools required to meet advanced EHS data collection and reporting requirements.
- Coach, mentor, and guide EHS Coordinators to deliver quality EHS management system expectations and support operationalization of EHS activities.
- Work with EHS Coordinators to provide the skills and competency to continually improve, adapt, and cater EHS management system delivery based on engagement with key stakeholders, performance data and expectations from the EHS department.

Department Controls
- Collaborate with EHS management team to track and maintain budgets, utilizing financial modeling and forecasting tools to analyze spending patterns, flag upcoming budget variances, and highlight opportunities for cost savings.
- Utilize ERP software and implement processes and controls to manage EHS team invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of purchase orders, JV's, and other invoices.
- Work with corporate communications team and design/printing companies to maintain standardized EHS marketing material and support with ordering processes.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of various departmental roles within the EHS Central Services team to effectively provide cross-coverage support as required.

Miscellaneous
- Manage the OHIH program (specifically medical surveillance (OH) and exposure monitoring (IH)) to ensure proper execution of regulated testing to maintain compliance and protect the health and safety of employees within the organization.
- Provide miscellaneous support as needed.

Education & Experience:

- 3 to 5 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Proficient Microsoft Suite experience, with advanced experience in Excel for data analytics
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques, such as ETL processes, data mapping, and data modeling
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, such Power BI or Tableau
- Experience in developing training materials, courses, and documentation, leveraging technology such as Rise to create engaging and effective learning experiences
- Experience in health and safety, or other regulated industries, would be an asset
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Commerce, Management, or Computer Science would be an asset
- Coding or structured query language experience an asset
