**REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid G-Class License
- Minimum 6-months of truck driving experience with clean abstract
- Minimum 6-months commercial/ residential moving experience
- Tech savvy, proficient with smartphone/ tablet
- Able to lift 75lbs unaided

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Drivers begin their day at Western Logistics Mississauga Terminal by receiving and reviewing their daily route plan with our operations team. Some mornings, drivers may be tasked with unboxing, assembling, and blanket wrapping furniture in a designated area within the terminal before loading for White Glove delivery. This service is required for any White Glove delivery deemed unsuitable for unboxing and assembly on-site in the customer’s home; or if requested. Once a week, drivers are asked to work in two-person teams to deliver larger and heavier products.

Our drivers are expected to inventory and cross-check the paperwork to the products to identify errors before starting their route. Once the orders are safely loaded and secured in the Hino, drivers should initiate a call-ahead their first call-ahead. All deliveries require a call-ahead to ensure customers will be on-site to receive the product and sign a Proof of Delivery (POD).

Drivers must first and foremost obey all the rules of the road and demonstrate courtesy to other road users, even if running behind schedule. It is important to exercise time-management to keep deliveries running on schedule. If a delivery has been met with delays, it is important for the driver to communicate timeframes with our operations team and with customers awaiting deliveries on that day.

On arrival to a customer’s home, drivers will execute the delivery as per the service level described on the Bill of Lading (BOL). Threshold/ Curbside deliveries will be passed to the customer at the door, porch, or garage for home deliveries; or the lobby or loading bay for condo/ apartment deliveries. Inside deliveries remain packaged and are placed in the customer’s location of choice, not exceeding two (2) flights of stairs. White Glove deliveries will be placed in the customer’s location of choice, unboxed, assembled, cleaned, and packaging is taken away. Foot coverings and gloves are always required if the driver is entering the premises. Masks are currently required during all delivery events.

If a damage occurs or is discovered at the time of delivery, it is expected that the driver act in full transparency to detail the occurrence on the POD and have the customer sign-off. All damages should be reported and communicated with the operations team after returning to the terminal.

Once all deliveries have been completed, drivers will return to the Western Logistics Mississauga Terminal where they will debrief with our operations team, providing them with all signed PODs/ feedback for upload into our system.
