**What Will You Do?**
- Responsible to move trailers safely in and out of dock and shops.
- Organize trailer line-up.
- Complete a thorough daily security check of the perimeter fence and inspect for holes, signs of breach and areas for repair.
- Report any suspicious activity immediately to the Yard Supervisor, Shift foreman, Operations Manager, or Terminal Manager.
- Complete lawn maintenance as directed by management in the summer months.
- Ensure yard and entrance ways are clear of snow and ice in the winter months.
- Check oil in reefer units plus other designated mechanical checks on trucks and trailers.
- Communicate with dock personnel, dispatch drivers and shop via two-way radio in a professional manner.
- Report mechanical defects on trucks and trailers immediately to shift supervisor.
- Perform reefer checks and fuel when required. Complete appropriate report and pass onto shop.
- Ensure yard is free of debris and empty garbage containers at fuel island and building entrance.
- Complete general maintenance - in conjunction with the terminal maintenance staff - paint, fence repairs.
- Report all accidents or injuries immediately to supervisor.
- Ensure that all the paperwork required from your shift is completed and turned in for HACCP purposes (Washes).
- Cleaning the exteriors of Tractors, Straight Trucks, and Trailers. Cleaning and disinfecting and de-odorizing the interiors of Trailers and the Straight Truck boxes.
- All other duties as required.

**Who Are We Looking For?**
- AZ License is considered an asset (required at Toronto terminal).
- Able to operate power units safely and accurately.
- Ability to understand and comply with all company health & safety policies.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Attention to detail with accurate record keeping.
- Must be able to tolerate all types of weather.
