Brampton, Canada MULTIVAC Canada Inc. Full time

**Time Utilization**:
50% travel and 50% preparation and follow up. Normal business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate project meetings, FATs, trade shows, customer schedules and all other project requirements.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
Includes the following however other related duties may be assigned from time to time.

**1. **Pre-sale project support to reduce post-sale issues and costs.

**2. **Post-sale project management for Multivac and 3rd party equipment.

**3. **Project management for special technical initiatives and specific projects as defined by Multivac senior management.

**4. **Review of customer specific specifications and requirements, submittal of recommended exceptions within a necessary project timeline.

**5. **Work closely with Multivac and 3rd Party Technical Documentation Specialist(s) to facilitate the creation and consolidation of Technical Order Documents. Ensure that Multivac is conforming to all safety regulations (CSA, ESA, MUWO Corporate, CE, etc.)

**6. **Make MULTIVAC factory visits as necessary to accomplish all technical responsibilities of the job, including but not limited to maintaining current knowledge of MULTIVAC product development.

**7. **When applicable, maintain strategic relationships with third party automation companies to complement MULTIVAC’s offering and extend our line solutions. Facilitate negotiation of purchase terms and conditions with these suppliers, establish specifications by project, and establish performance criteria for FAT & SAT’s.

**8. **Operate within annual expense budget and assist Sales Team to meet annual sales goals.

**9. **Attend and participate in trade shows, sales meetings, and other company specified activities, as required.

**10. **Be an active student of the packaging industry, MULTIVAC, automation, and the competition to facilitate personal growth through internal and external resources.

**11. **Works with management to assure sufficient resources are estimated and allocated to each project.

**12. **Participate in Project review meetings to include Sales and Technical personnel in order to highlight resource limitations and inform stakeholders early in the project post-sales phase.

**13. **Success in this role will be determined on achievement of the following post-sales responsibilities:

- Ordering Specifications
- Updating and communication about lay-out, approval
- Costing control (buy, sell, actual)
- Time control
- Shipping
- Planning
- Execution
- Documentation
- Being close with the customer
- Drive issue or snag list to resolution in shortest possible time frame
- Closing the file and costing
- Reporting all activity and progress to Multivac
- Handover to Customer Care Team

**Qualifications**:

**Education/Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in technical curriculum or equivalent from four-year College or University; and five years technical experience creating, planning, and executing automation systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years project management experience (primary packaging preferred) in the food industry.
- Previous high complexity and high visibility project management experience required.
- Commercial aptitude.

**Language Ability**:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual French would be an asset.

**Computer Skills**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS-Office programs, MS Project or equivalent, 2D CAD (AutoCAD or equivalent), 3D SolidWorks would be a benefit.

**Certificates and Licenses**:
Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position. CAPM Certification or higher through the PMI.

**Reasoning Ability**:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; reason and analyse options. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to design cost-effective & efficient solutions within customer budgets.
