**Job Description: Bookkeeper**
**Responsibilities**:
∙ Record financial transactions and ensure accuracy in maintaining the general ledger.
∙ Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
∙ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
∙ Prepare and issue invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments.
∙ Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
∙ Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
∙ Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
∙ Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
∙ Collaborate with team members and external partners to ensure accurate financial reporting.
∙ Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and support audits.
∙ Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
**Requirements**:
∙ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
∙ Experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
∙ Proficiency with Sage is a benefit as well as Microsoft Office suite.
∙ Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
∙ Bilingual in both French & English (English is a plus, it is not required)
∙ Ability to manage multiple tasks, good time-management skills and meet deadlines.
∙ Resourceful and strong organizational skills.
∙ Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
