**Cap Crew Manager - Full-time - Contract to December 20, 2024**:
**Creative Twist Inc.** is an award winning event design and experiential agency that has been contracted by the City of Red Deer to oversee the operations of a Real Estate Discovery Centre and the associated events in the Capstone community.

Capstone is a 91-acre district located between the Red Deer River and downtown. It envelopes a light commercial industrial park with over 100 businesses and services and is home (currently) to about 300 residents. Within the neighbourhood, The City of Red Deer owns/controls 19 acres of land and is developing the site as Red Deer’s first Master Planned riverside community. At full build out in 2042, Capstone will be an urban village, with 5,000 residents living in some 2000 condominiums, townhouses and apartments.

Since 2022 the Capstone Discovery Bus has been operating as a real estate presentation centre with the goal to further communicate the vision of the community. Our dedicated team of brand ambassadors is called the CAP CREW, and their role is:

- To educate and engage Red Deerians and other stakeholders in the vision for and progress of the community.
- To update visitors on new community projects and initiatives (retail, commercial, more).
- To encourage visitation to the community via special events, celebrations and festivities to witness the transformation taking place.
- To support the resiliency and growth of downtown Red Deer through progressive storytelling and community partnerships
- To support the developer (builder) partners’ sales and marketing efforts, or construction programs.
- To engage the public (future residents) through meaningful and relevant programs and community initiatives which align with and reinforce our community brand values of being Social + Engaged; Inventive +Trailblazing; Nature Loving + Energetic; Curious + Intrigued

The Capstone Discovery Bus serves as a base for the CAP CREW to share information about the community development, and answer the most basic and most relevant questions prospective residents and prospective developer partners might ask such as
- Where is the development?
- Who is responsible for it?
- What’s life like in the community?
- Why should I consider living in this community?
- What kind of homes are offered?

Although its primary home is in Capstone, the fact that it is an operational bus offers the team a unique opportunity to travel to communities both inside and outside the city to share information and educate on the project.

We are looking for a dynamic leader to fill the role of CAP CREW MANAGER.

**Who You Are**
- Interested in urban renewal, city growth, downtown redevelopment, construction and building a community
- Result and action oriented with strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Self directed and accountable to meet set deliverables; works well independently and can lead a team without supervision
- Self-starter who takes a proactive approach to meeting the our stakeholders goals and objectives
- Detail oriented, organized and tidy - everything in its place
- Has some Experience with event planning and/or execution
- Skilled in delivering exceptional customer service and sales experience
- Skilled in leading and inspiring a team
- Minimum of 3 years prior supervisory experience is required
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to delegate as needed
- Accountability to create and deliver training plans to establish and monitor employee development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional presentation with strong spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, (30 - 35 hours/week) including most weekends and holidays.
- Very comfortable with technology - familiar with i-pads, spreadsheets and basic operations / troubleshooting tech.
- Comfortable working in close quarters with others
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs, reach above your head, stand for long periods of time, and climb steps and ladders.
- Able to drive, with a valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- _**Operations - 60% of time**_
- Learn and understand the Capstone vision and objectives and articulate them to the team and visitors.
- Manage and train team of part-time ambassadors (CAP CREW) to ensure operational and and health and safety standards are met
- Ensure visitor experience standards are met
- Guide the daily operations of the Discovery Bus acting as an ambassador yourself 60% of the time
- Assist team with opening and closing procedures including daily set up of outdoor furniture, games and activities.
- Manage the delivery of information via technology used throughout the bus
- Ensure the physical assets of the bus are maintained and arranging repairs and maintenance as needed
- Monitoring collateral inventories and re-ordering as needed
