Regional Sales Manager, Medical Supplies

Purpose:
The Regional Sales Manger is accountable for regional sales, profit and expenses within the Medical Supply Distribution business. You will also lead and develop your team of 6 Sales Reps to create new partnerships within the LTC, Retirement Home and Alternate or continuing care markets and strengthen relationships with the current customer base.
In addition, you will work closely with all departments and sales groups at Ontario Medical Supply to execute our sales and corporate strategies and expand our sales base within our key accounts.

Job Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and ensure overall effectiveness of the Ontario Sales team (6) to better serve our customers.
- Budget, forecast, track, develop and implement strategies and tactics to achieve short
- and long-term sales objectives.
- Coordinate sales activities with various departments, including Contracts, Operations and Inventory. Work collectively with these departments to drive project and deals through.
- Achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Create growth through expansion of customer base and leadership in contract negotiations.
- Direct the selling activities within the region, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions.
- Maintain and expand customer base by coaching team, building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities.
- Lead the sales team, inclusive of managing performance to ensure they meet or exceed sales goals
Qualifications:
- Ideally 3+ years of relevant Sales Management experience in the Health Care industry
- Knowledge of Long Term/Alternate Care Market is an asset
- Ability to prioritize tasks to achieve efficiency and meet customer demands
- Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills
- A team player with a hands-on approach to getting results
- Strong business development and proven leadership skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly experience with Word, Excel and Power Point
- Willingness to travel (30%)
Working conditions:
- The position requires the individual to maintain a home office
- Work in the field with Sales Reps in Long-term care facilities and retirement homes
