Applications are invited for the position of Energy Analyst in the Planning, Sustainability & Capital Projects Division, located at the Welland Campus. The starting hourly rate is $33.38/hr (Pay Band H - $33.38/hr to $38.75/hr) for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Energy tracking and analysis - track and monitor consumption and utility bills including budgeting
- Analyze energy consumption data on various levels (building level, large equipment level, etc.) to determine areas of opportunity
- Provide data and analytics to support improvement in energy performance and GHG emissions
- Prepare documents for energy audits/studies for review and approval
- Coordinate the execution of audits/studies by consultants/auditors
- Manage small energy projects such as lighting retrofits from inception through to completion
- Report energy information and metrics to key stakeholders
- Prepare energy reporting as required such as requirements under O.Reg. 25/23
- Report progress in reducing energy and GHG Emissions.
- Assist with planning of capital and non-capital energy conservation projects
- Assist in the development of energy conservation plan, sustainability plan, design guidelines, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- Three (3) year diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Energy Systems Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field of study
- Minimum five (5) years experience in energy management including project coordination and data analysis
- Recognized accreditation considered an asset (i.e. CET, Association of Energy Engineers accreditations such as EEP)
- Strong knowledge in building utilities and energy bills, lighting, building automation systems, and mechanical systems (HVAC)
- Strong communication, organizational, problem solving and prioritizing skills
- Exceptional level of attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy to data collection and input
