**Position**:Rock Truck Operator

**Terms of Employment**:Full Time/Seasonal

**Purpose**

The Operator, Articulated Rock Truck operates the truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Equipment Operation**
- Operates truck to destination
- Operates controls to tilt body and dump contents
- Inspects truck equipment which includes tires, brakes, lights, fuel, coolant, hydraulic fluids, exhaust system, cab filter system
- Inspects for any visual leaks or cracks in pre and post trip inspections
- Responsible for the care and condition of the truck while operating
- Monitoring loading operations and ensure load is safe
- Perform required basic maintenance on the truck
- Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics
- Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics
- Other duties as assigned

**Risk Management, Health & Safety**
- It is the responsibility of Mill Creek/Peaskie Minerals employees to take care to ensure their own safety and the safety of others, to know and follow safety and health instructions, rules, regulations, and safe work procedures and to report any unsafe or substandard condition or act as soon as possible to the employer
- Incumbents are responsible for ensuring that the operations are performed with the utmost regard for the health and safety of all personnel, and for promoting proper attitudes towards safety and health in themselves and their co-workers
- Work with Manager, HSE to investigate damage, incidents, or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are followed
- Ensure lockout/tagout procedures are followed
- Ensure SDS sheets are available
- Promote good housekeeping throughout workspace area
- Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment are contained in the Integrated Safety Management System - Hazard Identification
- Attend daily Toolbox meetings

**Education & Training**
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license and acceptable drivers’ abstract

**Pre-Employment Screening**
- Drug and Alcohol testing
- Audiometry
- Mask Fit
- Criminal Record Check
- Clean/Acceptable Driver Abstract

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
