**Position type**:This is a full-time hourly position.

**Responsibilities**:
The Construction Estimator will be responsible to perform a wide range of duties in support of the design and contract phase of our Construction process. The Estimator role is a key position in our company to ensure our clients are provided accurate project Scope of Work and Estimates. As well, the estimator will drive critical aspects (permits, tendering, and selections) of our pre-contract phase to ensure the project is set-up properly.

Duties for this role include:

- Prepare accurate Scope of Works and Estimates engaging sub-contractors, and suppliers as required
- Ensure plans accurately reflect the scope
- Client communication as required
- Drive critical components of the pre-contract phase, which include: submitting/processing permits; negotiating with sub-contractors on tenders; and coordinate key selections.
- Maintain current cost books to support upcoming projects
- Assist Project Managers in estimating change orders
- Identify opportunities to enhance the estimating process
- Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience
- Knowledge of residential building codes and practices
- High attention to detail
- Good communication (written and oral) and math skills
- Familiar with computer software/technology (i.e. MS Office suite - Word, Excel)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
