**Position Summary**:
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop accurate manufacturing cost models using standard cost inputs related to current materials and process technologies with proven capability. These cost models will be the basis for new business inquiries and existing business. The incumbent must be able to function independently when required but should facilitate and support cross functional involvement in developing cost scenarios to insure consensus regarding feasibility of proposals.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma in an engineering discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Must possess strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Must exhibit good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs. Database experience preferred.
- Must have proficient project management and time management skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workload while working in a team environment with frequent interruptions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing products and processes. Elastomeric experience would be considered an asset.
- Commitment to Lean Systems / Six Sigma Certification.
- Experience with SAP and solid modeling an asset.

**Essential Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Develop accurate and timely cost models (estimates), including tooling and engineering charges, to support internal proposals related to new business and existing business inquiries
- Conduct BOM/Router audits on regular basis and communicate the results of said audits for verification or system maintenance when required
- Develop cost models for non-standard materials or processes for internal process/product development or improvement activities.
- Support and assist the Commercial Manager, Business Development Manager, and Marketing department within the lead centre. This includes, but is not limited to, data gathering and analysis, spreadsheet and chart creation and maintenance, creating reports and presentations for both internal and external use.
- Perform all functions in compliance with Management System requirements
