As a key member within the Hardscape and Facility Maintenance team at 214 Carson Co. Inc., the Hardscape Associate is responsible for performing a diverse set of activities including general landscape construction and seasonal maintenance across the 214 group of businesses and properties.

**Specific Duties**

Assist with and perform landscape activities on industrial, commercial, and residential projects. The activities performed may include:

- Hardscaping (grade/lay patios, stone-saw operation)
- Landscaping & Softscaping (planting, sodding, pruning, grounds maintenance)
- Masonry (wall building, veneering, flagstone install)
- Carpentry (fences, decks, privacy screens)
- Concrete work (forming, pouring, finishing)
- Snow removal (plowing, shovelling, snowblowing, hand salting)
- Light and heavy equipment operation (excavators, tractors, skidsteers)
- General repairs
- General labour
- Daily reporting and activity monitoring

**Qualifications**

The following skills, attributes and abilities are required for this position:

- 3+ years of hardscape experience (retaining wall knowledge preferred)
- General carpentry/concrete skills
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Job flexibility (must be willing to work beyond boundaries)
- Work in all types of weather conditions
- Quality focussed, high attention to detail with excellent problem solving abilities
- Well organized, independent, and self-managing
- Punctual and strong time management skills
- Able to work well independently and with others
- Willingness to learn
- Good communication skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with Class G, with clean abstract (AZ/AR/DZ preferred)
- Have own transportation and ability to travel within 45 minutes of Paris, Ontario head office

This is a full-time position. Wage based on experience.

- snow and lawn maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
