Café Keyholder/supervisor

**About Us**: At Town Square Café, we are committed to delivering an exceptional café experience with high-quality coffee, delicious pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Supervisor to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our café. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong management skills and a passion for excellent customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Prepare and Serve Beverages**: Brew coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks to customer specifications. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment with precision.
- **Stock Management**: Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Assist with ordering and stocking as needed.
- **Create a Welcoming Atmosphere**: Contribute to a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Ensure that seating areas are tidy and that customers have a pleasant experience.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- **Daily Cash Deposits**: Accurately handle and deposit daily cash and credit card transactions. Prepare financial reports and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of transactions.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Conduct regular stock checks, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory.
- **Staff Assistance**: Assist in training new staff and providing support to the barista team. Address staff concerns and provide guidance to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
- **Customer Service**: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service. Address customer feedback and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- **Maintain Cleanliness**: Keep the café area, equipment, and utensils clean and organized. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a sanitary environment.
- **Team Leadership**: Foster a positive work environment and motivate team members. Promote teamwork and ensure that staff are engaged and focused on delivering great customer service.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a café or restaurant setting is required. Strong understanding of café operations preferred.
- **Skills**: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- **Knowledge**: Proficient in cash handling. Familiarity with inventory management systems and customer service best practices.
- **Attitude**: Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented approach. Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations with grace and professionalism.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
Pay: $16.55-$22.98 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
