**About the Job**

**As a Junior Data Scientist, You Will**
- Develop models/tools required to achieve business objectives within a Kubenetes-based machine learning platform
- Analyze and experiment with ML algorithms and models (both statistical and deep learning) to determine viability of solving business challenges
- Assist in hyperparameter tuning of models for optimal performance
- Document and explain the results of experiments for relevant stakeholders
- Assist in gathering and manipulation of data, including verifying/ensuring data quality, and defining pre-processing and feature engineering
- Collaborate in a fast paced agile development environment
- Have fun building Skynet to take over humanity. We're joking, of course.
- Bring your ideas and try new things as part of a research-focused mindset
- Perform other duties as assigned

**As a Junior Data Scientist, You Have**
- Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s (asset) degree/equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar with practical experience in machine learning development
- An understanding of data (structured and unstructured), data storage, and data processing
- Experience performing exploratory data analysis and building machine learning models and algorithms using a variety of machine learning techniques
- Are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams
- A passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
- Proficiency with a deep learning frameworks (Keras, Tensorfow, Pytorch)
- Proficiency in Python development and basic ML libraries (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn)
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to explain machine learning concepts and relevant experiments to different stakeholders
- Experience with transformer models is preferred
- Experience with data integration and reporting is preferred
- Experience working with Agile software development methodologies is an asset
- Experience with large language models is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
