The **Concierge** / **Assistant Building Manager** is responsible for supporting the Building Manager in all facets of managing and ensuring a clean, safe, and friendly environment for residents. The Concierge/Assistant Building Manager supports in the day-to-day operation of the building. In addition, with others, the Assistant Building Manager is responsible for identifying and resolving all current and upcoming issues concerning the building and its property.

- **Shift**:Saturday/Sunday, 12am - 8am

This position works in tandem with a Building Manager to ensure full coverage at the building. When working at the same time the Assistant Building Manager focuses on resident relations and administration, while focused on operations when working independently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily inspections of the property (interior/exterior).
- Minor maintenance: power washing, and building repairs
- Schedule, meet, and oversee trades and other contractors in the building, ensuring projects are completed in a proper and timely manner
- Conduct administrative and clerical functions such as managing social room bookings; maintaining records, directories and manuals; distributing and controlling entry fobs; and collecting/recording parking and other fees
- Report building issues and incidents in writing to Strata Property Manager and Strata Council
- Act quickly and diligently to address building issues
- Respond to residents' queries & requests promptly and professionally
- Facilitate resident move-ins /move-outs
- Post notices and enforce Strata bylaws and rules
- Perform monthly security inspections & procedures (generators, fire alarm, others) as required
- Work closely with and assist the Strata Property Manager, the on-site cleaning and front desk team, and Strata Council to ensure a smooth building operation

**Qualifications**:

- Previous building manager experience in residential, strata or commercial setting
- Previous experience working with contractors and mechanical equipment, an asset
- Knowledge of operational requirements of a strata building and keen eye for identifying issues
- Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
- Proven ability to take direction and work with mínimal supervision
- Self-motivated individual who obtains satisfaction from a job well done
- Strong communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Strong organizing, planning & decision-making skills
- Demonstrates good judgment in problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Excels at customer service
- Polished and courteous demeanor
- Possesses a valid driver’s license and a vehicle that can be used for work
- Must be willing to provide references and complete a criminal background check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week
