As a Specialist, System Integrator, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs and identifying required functionality early in the product development cycle.

You will closely monitor the various design, development, verification and validation activities to ensure that the system will comply with product requirements. You will be responsible for the selection and integration of the various system components. You will support analysis, simulation and proof-of-concept activities for the various subsystems. You will actively participate in the planning and estimation of activities related to the design and integration of system components. You will play a key role in product introduction and production support.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop products in an agile environment (Scrum);
- Participate in the definition and documentation of system architectures;
- Write design requirements;
- Participate in the selection and integration of hardware components;
- Participate in the definition of low-level control algorithms;
- Validate software implementation of low-level control algorithms;
- Approve design reviews of software and hardware components;
- Define tools to evaluate component performance;
- Produce component performance analysis reports;
- Validate the performance of components integrated into a system;
- Guide and support verification and validation efforts;
- Provide technical support to designers;
- Support the production launch of new products;
- Support various teams in resolving technical problems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in Mechanics/Robotics or equivalent;
- 5 years' experience in robotics (professional environment and/or post-graduate studies);
- Experience in mechatronics systems development;
- Experience in integrating robotic components;
- Experience in real-time embedded software development;
- Programming experience in C, C++, Matlab, Simulink and Python;
- Experience and knowledge in robotic control:

- Kinematics and dynamics of manipulator robots with 6 or more degrees of freedom
- Trajectory planning and optimization
- Collision detection and avoidance
- Singularity avoidance
- Control theory
- Force control modes (Admittance, Impedance, etc.)
- Kinematic and dynamic calibration
- Knowledge of concepts in modeling and optimization of manipulator robot geometry
- Results-oriented, proactive, able to prioritize and influence;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision;
- Ability to make quick decisions in situations of risk and uncertainty;
- Bilingualism (French and English);
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
