Junior Estimator

**Position: Junior Estimator (Great opportunity for aspiring students)**

**Available: temporary, contract - April to September**

**Salary Range: $20-22/hour**

**Location: On site**

Nuform Building Technologies Inc. (NUFORM) specialize in a line of revolutionary building systems. We are looking for a Junior Estimator, who is eager to use their knowledge learned in school to join us with continuous innovation, research, and development. We are a quality-driven company focused on improving construction efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

**Job Profile**
- Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to your supervisor.
- Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required.
- Comply with Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
- Participate and contribute to effective production efficiency.
- Estimate projects for clients and distributors.
- Provide clients with various options on using the product effectively in their projects.
- Provide cost comparison(s) for various product(s).
- Track estimates provided in order to review actual cost of projects versus estimates provided.
- Work with the sales team to create project proposals.
- Communicate with administrative and management staff as required.
- Perform compulsory overtime as necessary and in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

**Mandatory requirements**:

- BA/ BS degree, Architectural Technologist **(First year students, please apply)**:

- Working knowledge of construction drawings, processes and scheduling.
- Good understanding of the construction industry and terminology is required.
- Able to read architectural / engineering drawings.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You are exceptional at problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- You have the ability to understand and analyze information effectively.
- You excel in a fast paced environment with deadlines.
- You are well versed in Auto CAD, Excel and Word.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
