**About The Role**

HUB International is growing and we are looking for a seasoned Consultant, Employee Benefits to join our dynamic Benefits Consulting Practice based in Toronto or flexible with location within Ontario supporting medium to large sized clients.

**What You’ll Do**
- Maintain service and revenue accountability for medium to large sized clients while building and maintaining excellent relations with clients and internal colleagues
- Build knowledge; staying informed about other lines of business and identifying cross selling opportunities
- Grow and build business with current and prospective clients
- Ensure delivery of high-quality work that meets client needs, including:

- Analyzing financial and claims information relating to benefits plans, annual renewals and client proposals
- Evaluating the cost and design competitiveness of client benefit plans
- Negotiating service and premium rate agreements with insurance providers
- Delivering presentations to clients; conducts client meetings
- Reviewing and providing advice related to benefit plan contracts and documentation
- Manage multiple clients and/or providing support for large clients including being the lead for client meetings and presenting work to clients
- Identify challenges and implement proactive and creative solutions
- Interpret benefits legislation and standards and educate team members as appropriate
- Manage the relationship between clients, administrators, insurance providers and team
- Act as a mentor to team members, supporting their growth and development
- Lead internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends
- Participate in external training and industry conferences and seminars
- Participate in special projects as required

**What You’ll Need for Success**
- **Active LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) required**:

- Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma in related Group Benefits (CEBS) or Actuarial Sciences
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Group Benefits or Group Insurance Industry
- Strong mathematical analytical skills
- Strong Employee Benefits Consultancy and/or new business experience
- Advanced Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent communication, project management, collaboration, presentation and negotiation skills
- Experience working in a high-paced, growth environment
- Bilingual in English and French an asset
- Travel for client travel, team meetings and industry events
