**Summary of Position**
A Roehampton Cable Surveyor is responsible for collecting detailed technical information about electric utility and telecommunication facilities and equipment. It is an outdoor position that requires surveying streetscapes, note taking and data collection that supports outside plant engineering and various fiber-optic construction projects in 613 area. Training to operate surveying equipment relevant to this position will be provided.
**Responsibilities**
- Work in an outdoor environment to collect field data that supports the engineering and design of fiber optic cable facilities. This will include, survey and gathering measurements of objects within a roadway, backyard or laneway; pole survey and measurement of various attachment heights, span distances, angles, etc...
- Submit organized, detailed data for each project that could include maps, field notes, sketches and digital images.
- Operate and maintain equipment that could include tablet computer, digital camera, various measuring tools, and Personal Protective Equipment.
- Work professionally in the field as a representative of Roehampton Cable Ltd and our customers.
- Communicate effectively and on a daily basis with the project team.
- Work safely and independent of supervision.
**Qualifications**
- College diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution systems.
- Basic proficiency with computers including the ability to read, interpret and follow GPS maps.
- Ability to follow process specifications and guidelines in an extremely high quality environment.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow maps.
- Ability to travel and to work outside in variable terrain and weather conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 - 44 per week
