Supervisor Childcare

BACI Out of School Care Supervisors' ensure children receive quality childcare in a caring and stimulating environment which promotes intellectual, physical and emotional growth. Through effective supervision of staff, overseeing program development and operational requirements of the centre, the supervisor is integral of quality childcare.

This position ensures the well-being of all children, manages the educational program delivery and also provides direct care to children, encouraging their intellectual, physical and emotional growth. Liaison with families and external professionals. Ability to organize and sustain the positive functioning of children in a group environment. Maintains the center in compliance with licensing.

**POSITION: Regular FT Out of School Care Supervisor
**LOCATION: Burnaby, BC
**SALARY: $28.50 - $30.50
**HOURS: 37.5 hours per week Schedule: Monday - Friday flexible schedule
**STARTING DATE: ASAP
EDUCATION & QALIFICATIONS:
Out of School Care Certificate, Special Needs Certificate or Diploma in Classroom and Community Supports or a related field. BC Drivers License preferred.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Previous supervisory and management experience is preferred. Proven ability to dialogue, plan, interact positively and work collaboratively with families and external professionals to develop new programmes and enhance programme delivery. Ability to train, coach/mentor and evaluate staff performance, lead a large staff team, budget, organize schedules and document appropriately. Must have maturity, tact, self-initiative, conflict resolution skills and good written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of computers mandatory. Demonstrate ability to work independently as well as within a team. Good time management skills are necessary for this role.
