**Salary Range: $89,469 - $111,834 per annum**
**Work Mode**:Hybrid (Minimum 3 days onsite weekly, which may increase based on operational requirements)

The Water and Wastewater Division is dedicated to providing the community with a safe and reliable drinking water supply, efficiently collecting and properly treating wastewater, and ensuring both environmental sustainability and long-term financial responsibility. We operate in strict compliance with Municipal Drinking Water Licences (MDWLs) and Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECAs) issued by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).

What you will do in this role_**_:_**
- Act as a single point of contact to establish and ensure consistent, accurate and customer focused services for all internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for the selection, supervision, training, evaluation and disciplining of all staff. This includes setting clear goals and performance standards for staff to ensure quality service and technical support.
- Coordinate training for all to assure equal distribution of work and adequate staffing so that levels of service are met or exceeded.
- Promote a service-oriented culture and focus, in addition to promoting teamwork and integration within the group and the W/WW division as well as all other stakeholders.
- Receive and analyze metrics and KPIs from the Business Support section and Ontario One Call using data that is both measurable and meaningful for assessing the extent to which objectives are achieved and where areas for development are identified.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements to ensure excellent technical services and develop implementation plans that contribute to the continual improvement processes as required in the Drinking Water Quality Management System or the Integrated Management System.
- Develop, supervise, and report on budgets related to team activities.
- Assist with the creation of communication materials related to performance data in order to heighten accountability and aid in the circulation of information to internal stakeholders of the W/WW team.
- Participate on internal and inter-departmental committees and/or teams as required.
- Provide staff leadership on multidisciplinary project teams.
- Establish and implement standards and common practices to ensure adequate functional, technical and documentation support and to assures consistency across the team for all activities.
- Uphold a culture that is client-centered and service-oriented and which promotes teamwork, integration and models Regional values.
- Advocate the principles of change management into the development of internal policies and procedures.
- Develop collaborative working relationships within the entire Water and Wastewater Operations Division.
**_ What the role requires_**_:_**
- A post secondary education in a science or business program with a minimum of five (5) years related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Sound knowledge on the operation of water and wastewater systems and related appurtenances and equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, 2012 and related legislation regarding locates in the province of Ontario.
- Participate in provincial locate committees as required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a diverse team ensuring high standards of professional service.
- Committed to ongoing learning and continuous improvement and able to support and motivate staff to do the same.
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to respond with tack and diplomacy.
- Superior customer service and interpersonal skills with an ability to develop collaborative partnerships with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning, administrative and financial skills.
- Proven presentation skills, including the ability to present to various internal and external audiences.
- Experience in methodologies such as, change management and improvement would be an asset.
- Ability to effectively supervise multiple tasks, prioritizes workload and assignments.
- Superior organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater operations.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office and CMMS systems such as Hansen or Maximo, Granite and GIS systems
- G Driver’s License in good standing
