Critical Incident Response

Registered Social Worker or Psychotherapist

Thunder Bay, Ontario

The Opportunity:
Supporting our TELUS Health Critical Incident Affiliate Network, this role provides on-site counselling/consult to organizational clients in the immediate aftermath of a traumatic worksite or global event.

Your responsibilities will be:
- Perform a preliminary assessment of the situation in the workplace, and offer coaching and support to managers;- Implement post-traumatic intervention by interacting with internal and external clients and affiliated professionals;- Provide supervision and consultation to stakeholders when requested;- Manage the administrative needs of trauma support services;- Travel onsite to provide debriefing, defusing or support interventions.

Qualifications:
- Masters in Social Work, Counselling, or other health related field;- Member in good standing with OCSWSSW or CRPO;- Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset;- Minimum (3) three years post-grad clinical experience;- Completed training in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) is considered an asset;- Experience providing group counselling/ debriefing/ defusing is a must;- Good knowledge of different work environments and organizational structure;- Flexible schedule.
