**Commissionaires BC are looking for a security guard to work downtown Kelowna.**

**Payrate: $23 per hour**

**We are looking for a guard with the following availability**:

- Mon to Fri: 8:00AM until 16:00PM (0800 - 1600)

**Your Must Haves **
- ** Valid BC Security License**:

- 1-2 years working in security
- Excellent English oral and written skills

**Your nice to haves**:

- Non Violent Crisis Intervention training
- OFA Level 1
- De-escalation skills
- Ability to work more than one site.

**Some of your responsibilities include**:

- Continuous foot patrols
- Offering first class customer service to the client and members of the public.
- Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports.
- Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor.

**You’re a good fit if you have**
- Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
- Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, and equipment such as faxes and photocopiers
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
- Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Physically able to conduct extensive foot patrols both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
