- Job Description: _Works directly with students, school personnel and the business community to deliver a combination of services that support Nova Scotia high school students in understanding and preparing for the needs of the province’s job market. Reporting directly to Operations Manager of Nova Scotia Works CANSA
- Education and Knowledge: _

1 - Degree, diploma, or certificate in Business or Human Services or Counseling certification and or supporting courses and training in a study relevant to the position.

2 -Experience working with students facing barriers in a supportive role an asset

3 - Superior communication and presentation skills

4 - Problem solving ability

5 - Knowledge of local labor market issues and information

6 - Ability to work independently as well as part of the team

7 - Knowledge of resources and programs available to the community of Cumberland

8 - Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle

9 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs

10 - _Responsibilities: _
- Work directly with students to help navigate labor market information, provide resources related to career planning and tools and resources to prepare for employment.
- Deliver workshops and support students who are preparing to enter the labor market.
- Support roles in the school that prepare students for post-secondary education or employment.
- Collaborate with others in the school and community to provide information on career opportunities in the area.

**In Person - drop off resume and cover letter at 63 Victoria Street East, Amherst NS**

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
