**Job brief**
The **Production Prep Cook** is responsible for preparing high volumes of different food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards for a variety of customers.
- **Responsibilities**_
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
- Ensure traceability and food safety by tracking lot codes and temperatures.
- Responsible for records from items and area worked during shifts.
- Practice proper labeling and ensuring product is being used FIFO.
- Comfortably using knife or other cutting tools as required.
- Cleans working areas after preparation, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
- Should be able to work under the refrigerator temperature for the duration of 8 hours.
- Understand the basic procedure of how to assemble & clean the machine before & after use.
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately.
- Attends in-service and safety meetings.
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- **Qualifications**_
- 2 years of experience in High Volume Food Production environment preferred
- Strong Culinary Background
- Understanding of large-scale production and assembly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift to 70 lb.
- Understanding of HACCP and basic food safety standards
- Clear understanding of Hospitality and Service and the Customer Experience
- Diverse/multi-cultural Interpersonal Skills
- Process Oriented and Results Driven
- Current in the latest food production techniques
- Ability to work in temperature-controlled environment
- Fluent English (written & verbal)
