The Manufacturing Financial Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the organisation by maintaining financial integrity and accuracy, ensuring compliance, and facilitating effective decision-making. This role is essential for the financial health and success of the organisation. The Controller is responsible for driving continuous improvement, optimising financial costs and performance, developing and tracking KPIs, as well as for managing risks and achieving long-term financial sustainability.

**Job Summary**:
The Manufacturing Financial Controller will lead our finance team and play a pivotal role in driving financial performance. This position requires a CPA designation, extensive experience in finance leadership, expertise in cost accounting, strong ERP knowledge, and a track record of developing, implementing, and managing financial systems. The Controller must have the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior executives. The primary purpose of the Controller role is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and strategic management of our organisation's financial resources, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

**Responsibilities**
- As customary for this position, including knowledge of transitioning a company from development stage operations to full manufacturing/commercial operations
- Ability to work closely with operational and financial teams to design, build and implement financial systems to capture all relevant financial and operational date needed to advise management of the status of the business
- Management of critical financial processes and reconciliation of operational data to ensure accurate, transparent and timely reporting of financial information
- Building and maintaining financial systems to reporting items such as revenue, processing unit economics, contribution margin, and a breakdown of such information that allows trend analysis to report data in an easily understandable manner
- Developing and maintaining key metrics reporting
- Presenting financial information in accordance with IFRS
- Working with teams to explain the financial performance of business and advising on improvements and key areas requiring management attention
- Attention to detail and timely reporting of monthly financial reporting at a professional level required for management, including MD&A monthly reporting

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- The role will report to the CFO with a dotted line to the VP Finance (part-time) and is accountable for providing supervision and oversight for the accounting department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial functions.

**Requirements**:

- CPA Designation: Hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation to demonstrate your commitment to excellence in financial management.
- Leadership Experience: Possess a minimum of 7 years of career experience, with a significant portion spent in a leadership role, including experience in senior leadership in the financial/accounting team or second-in-command.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of financial operations within a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting and financial analysis.
- ERP Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support financial data management and reporting.
- ERP Implementation: Proven experience in implementing or upgrading ERP and accounting systems, showcasing your ability to drive process improvements.
- Excel Proficiency: Possess advanced Excel skills to effectively manage financial data and create complex financial models.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in developing and leading annual budgets, periodic forecasting, and monthly closing processes.
- Financial Modelling: Exhibit the ability to develop and analyse complex financial models, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- IT Systems Aptitude: Showcase a strong aptitude for IT systems, ensuring the smooth integration of financial systems and technologies.
- IFRS Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS as it relates to pH7's business
