Island Health is seeking an MI - General Sonographer to join our growing team in Campbell River, BC
The MI - Generalist Sonographer performs general ultrasound examinations. This includes receiving and completing requisitions, forms, and reports; preparing and monitoring supplies and equipment; patient monitoring; and operating ultrasound equipment, plus preparing and presenting patient data to radiologist.
**Qualifications**
- Graduation from an approved Ultrasound Technologist Diploma program.
- Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification credentials as a Generalist Sonographer
- One (1) year recent, related experience in a health care setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Eligible for registration with Sonography Canada.
**Skills And Abilities**
- Organize and coordinate workload.
- Establish priorities in collaboration with others.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Problem solve.
- Foster good public relations.
- Operate related equipment, including computerized systems.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
