Mold-Masters is looking for a **Logistics Specialist** to join our team in **Georgetown, ON**.

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing all transportation activity, logistics and related expenses for the Company. This includes both the shipments from suppliers as well as shipments from our own facilities. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and improving procedures to ensure all shipments are processed in a cost-effective manner while meeting required arrival and expected dates. Additionally, the position is responsible for identifying and facilitating continuous process improvements in all areas of responsibility.

Included in the responsibilities is the annual review of freight rates, negotiation with freight forwarders and packaging providers, outside warehousing service providers, broker houses and related companies to maximize efficient delivery in the most cost-effective manner.

**What **you’ll** do**:

- Partners with all carriers to set up best-in-class transportation for all modes of transportation.
- Work closely with Logistics team for day-to-day operation of the assigned work areas to ensure efficient use of resources with an objective to ensure incoming and outgoing shipping activities meets the requirements of our customers.
- Ensure incoming and outgoing shipping activities meets the requirements of our customers.
- Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
- Maintain complete documentation to satisfy Canada and US Customs compliance
- Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Keeps appropriate records for shipments and any other related documentation.
- Creates value-add relationships with freight forwarders, packaging providers, customer brokers and related transportation agencies for all domestic and international shipments.
- Perform cost analysis on all carriers and negotiate rates for all mode of transportation for Mold Masters
- Establish and maintain information on actual landed product costs and other applicable costs per product, vendor, or shipment.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure shipments are cleared and released expeditiously upon arrival.
- Authorize freight forwarders and related companies to route goods in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate, schedule and monitor deliveries for supplier-direct shipments with Receiving.
- Analyse, review and approve all freight invoices within third party payment processing company portal and prepare monthly cost reports and KPI to optimize transportation cost.
- Review classification of all goods with Customs (Harmonized Codes) in SAP for 3 tariff costs (US, Canada, and EU) in cooperation with Custom specialist
- Audit incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy.
- Resolves discrepancies between bills of lading and material received.
- Ensures MML is utilizing the most efficient manner of packaging and shipping of stockroom materials.
- Analyse and promote recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements.
- Participate in corporate transportation team and represent Mold Masters.
- Other duties as assigned by department manager
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety program, including Emergency Response.
- Ensure ISO guidelines are followed for assigned unit.

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for encouraging development and execution of cost-saving opportunities. The incumbent will challenge the status quo and identify breakthrough improvements in performance. The Logistics Specialist must be capable of taking ownership of conformance of all invoices pertaining to the job function as well as ensure cost saving opportunities. Working with various points in the organization ensures that critical shipments are delivered on time. This is particularly true for international shipments.
