**Comprehensive orientation and training; All equipment and tools supplied.**

The role of Building Maintenance Worker performs property services related to the care and upkeep of building common areas. This may include a variety of activities such as performing building interior and exterior maintenance tasks, minor repair work, preventative inspections, and upkeep of equipment.

**About You**:

- Be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Able to lift 50 to 80lbs, bend and reach to high/low places as needed.
- Outstanding customer service
- Have a friendly, positive attitude and excited to learn new things everyday
- Must be flexible with work schedules
- Must have a valid **Driver's license**

**Your Job Scope**:

- **Open to learn **or operate floor machines to clean, buff, scrub, wax, burnish, polish, and refurbish all types of floor
- Minor maintenance repairs
- Working with clients to provide exceptional customer service
- Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment

**Job Duties**

Sweep, mop, scrub and wax common area hallways, floors, and stairs

Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse

Pressure wash parkades and exterior walkways

Interior floorcare of common areas

Operate steam equipment to clean upholstery

Scrub and maintain fountains and water features

Swimming pool maintenance

Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas

Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings

Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies

Clean and disinfect common areas

Empty trash cans and other waste containers

Work with mínimal supervision

**Experience**

6 months or more hand in a similar role is ideal; however, will train

Hands-on experience operating some of the following equipment:
Industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweepers, and pressure washing equipment

Carpet cleaning machines

Wax and polishing machines

Steam cleaners

Power tools

Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments)

Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment

Snowblower

**Requirements**:
Experience operating heavy duty floor machines

Experience with safe work practices

Flexible with work schedules and tight deadlines

Prior supervisory experience is a big plus
