South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH), originally founded in 1988, is a primary and secondary care hospital and designated district trauma centre.
Located in Bridgewater, SSRH has 85 inpatient beds including medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, and mental health units. The modern regional hospital is the cornerstone of Bridgewater’s residents and surrounding community members’ quality of life.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Duties include full scope of practice as a plastic surgeon providing care to patients within the western zone.
- The physician will be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Surgery for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

**Expected Hours**:

- Part-time 0.75-1.0 FTE
- Shared Coverage of Emergency and Trauma Referrals

**Qualifications**:

- Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
