Exterior Cleaner

The exterior cleaner is responsible for cleaning tasks in exterior areas of a building (parking lots, sidewalks, entranceways, loading docks, etc.) including dusting, dust mopping, cleaning the washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying and cleaning ashtrays and emptying and cleaning waste receptacles and vacuuming of carpets.

**Duties**:
Daily
- Litter picking the parking lot
- Compacting garbage and cardboard
- Litter picking areas such as planters and around trees
- Use power sweeper to clean the parking lot or sidewalks, entrance ways, and loading docks as required
- Use pressure washer to clean the entrances and sidewalks
- Driving Auto Scrubber (no experience required, training is provided)
- Leaf blowing (no experience required; training is provided)
- Snow removal
- Clean exterior sidewalks and entrance ways
- Replace garbage bags and clean ashtrays on garbage cans
- Sweep down steps and ramps - look for tripping hazards and broken rails
- Sweep and check loading bays for safety
- Sweep parking lot with sweeper
- Clean entrance landscaping and litter pick gardens

Weekly
- Wash metal and painted surfaces of posts and bollards
- Check operations of compactors and secure gates/wash underneath
- Check parking lot and stair lighting
- Note and replace broken sign and sign posts

**Requirements**:

- Valid and current driver’s license (Class 5)
- Experience operating ride-on equipment and machinery
- Experience operating compactors
- Comfortable working outdoors (winter gear/uniforms provided)
