**Hours of Work**

**Responsibilities**:
As a shipper/receiver, you will carefully clean, secure, wrap and package podiums (lecterns) according to company standards in preparation for pick-up and shipment by our logistics/ transportation partners to domestic and international locations.

You will also assist in moving podiums (lecterns) throughout our facility, to and from partners for finishing and/or loading them onto delivery trucks.

Other tasks may be required such as:

- Unloading and moving goods and other materials within facility
- Unpack deliveries and restock inventory
- Fabricate wooden crates, wrap, pack and prepare podiums for shipping
- Maintain a detailed shipping calendar as information changes
- Support coworkers in the production of podiums as needed
- General clean-up & housekeeping

Individuals hired for this position will achieve short-term (i.e. weekly, quarterly) organizational goals as well as long-term (i.e. annually) professional development goals simultaneously by managing the movement of valuable goods and materials to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

By transporting goods and materials; maintaining a detailed shipping calendar and job board and by coordinating the pick-up and delivery of shipments by our transportation partners, individuals in this role will gain knowledge and skills related to inventory, supply chain and operations management.

Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills related to customer service and customer relationship management by staging finished podiums, communicating production milestones such as expected delivery date to customer contacts, carefully packing podiums, confirming customer satisfaction and addressing issues as needed with a personal touch.

Shipping and Receiving Clerks will also develop a team mentality and understanding of the advanced manufacturing sector by supporting coworkers in the assembly of podiums and maintaining a clean and safe work environment as needed.

Job Qualifications
- Eagerness to develop new skills relevant to the manufacturing sector specifically or business generally
- A demonstrated interest in the advanced manufacturing sector (e.g. 3D Printing)
- Physically capable of repetitive work, standing for long periods of time and lifting materials weighing up to 50lbs
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- "Team player" with a positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license required
- Previous experience operating a forklift is an asset.
