Scotia Surgery is an ambulatory surgical centre which is committed to creating a centre of excellence in customer service, quality of care, and patient safety.

The manager is responsible for overseeing the management, planning and coordination of all aspects of the operating room, ensuring efficient and effective operations, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. The manager will require strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills in order to facilitate improvements and implement change management.
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the perioperative service.
- Supervise and schedule perioperative staff including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, administrative support staff, and environmental services.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards
- Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals, ensuring adequate stock and proper storage
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficacy and patient care
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of care
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of perioperative staff
- Liaising with insurance companies and case managers
- Case costing for surgical procedures
- Incident management
- Bachelor’s degree in a health discipline, Master’s an asset
- 5 years relevant clinical experience required; perioperative experience preferred
- Previous management or leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively

**Salary**: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
