**We are seeking**:
A **full-time Supervisor/Superviseur **to join our QuickStart Nova Scotia Team. This is a **one (1) **year term **oversee and assist in the expansion of QuickStart NS services in French. The supervisor will be part of the larger interdisciplinary team within the QuickStart NS department.

This Supervisor/Superviseur role will be located in HRM (currently Bedford) **, **working from the main Autism NS office. Travel throughout the Western, Eastern, Northern, and Central zones is required.

The Supervisor/Superviseur will be involved with our parent-mediated coaching program designed to empower caregivers of toddlers with a suspected, provisional, or confirmed diagnosis of autism, to teach and support their child’s development. It is designed for children aged 12-36 months (31 months at the start of the intervention) and incorporates an interdisciplinary team which uses the evidence-based intervention, Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).

Throughout the program, parents and caregivers are taught to use this intervention to teach age-appropriate communication skills, social skills, and many others through routine-based activities with their child. The supervisor would also be involved in our Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) program.

The ESDM program is an extension of Autism NS’ QuickStart Nova Scotia program, for toddlers (31-48 months) with suspected or confirmed autism. The program provides autism specific early intervention to skill development within play, routines, and relationships.

The Supervisor/Superviseur will be involved in adapting QuickStart NS services for Francophone and Acadian families. They would be the main supervisor for families who identify as Francophone, Acadian or preferred language is French.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively within the QuickStart NS umbrella of services, which includes Parent-mediated Coaching, ESDM service, and targeted interventions for specific areas in sleep and behaviours that challenge.
- Complete introductory and advance ESDM trainings.
- Oversee Parent Coaches who are working with families who identify as Francophone, Acadian, or their preferred language is French
- Supervise designated Parent Coaches across all zones (Central, Eastern, Western, and Northern) for both English and French delivery, as needed for operational requirements.
- Oversee the day to day operations of the QuickStart NS program for both English and French delivery of the program which may include:

- Providing supervision to Parent Coaches
- Conducting and attending weekly team meetings
- Performing on-site visits to office locations in the zone(s)
- Performing in-person and online overlaps with Parent Coaches
- Completing referral calls, intakes, and wrap up meetings with families
- Reporting program outcomes and data for program evaluation
- This position requires an extensive level of training throughout the term. The successful applicant must be flexible to meet those training requirements.
- The Supervisor must maintain parent-mediated coaching and ESDM fidelity through completion of direct activities as required (may include being the **lead **for a parent coaching or ESDM family.).
- Consulting with team regarding implementation of ESDM and Parent Coaching curriculum.
- Consulting with team regarding support for parent learning, child acquisition of goals, evidence-based practices, and appropriate referral sources.
- Collaborating with the QuickStart NS Director and Manager, this role entails the supervisor to identify necessary program adjustments and engage with Francophone and Acadian services and communities.
- Completion and ongoing direct implementation of Parent Coaching and ESDM program in French.
