**Job Description**:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of Island Health (Vancouver Island Health Authority), patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

The Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives, provides leadership, facilitation, support and coordination for designated projects. Ensures project deliverables achieve the strategic goals for the program.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant, health discipline and five (5) years recent related experience. Experience in a role related to education support would be an asset. Eligibility for membership with the appropriate registering body is required.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Commitment to person/patient-focused care and the Island Health Philosophy of Care.
- Project management, facilitation and community development skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently and with initiative.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
