**Position Description**

We currently have an exciting role for an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Payroll Supervisor.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Ensure payroll compliance with applicable legislation and payroll and benefits policies, programs, and practices.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, reconciliations, reporting, government and third-party remittances, etc.
- Integrate acquired companies into the payroll system to ensure a seamless transition.
- Gather pay requirements and information for acquired companies.
- Assess and resolve escalated payroll and benefit issues and discrepancies.
- Develop and implement guidelines and processes based on best practices.
- Oversee and process payroll on a biweekly basis to salaried, union, and non-union employees.
- Process special runs as needed.
- Lead and direct the payroll team through coaching, development, performance management and resource planning.
- Perform other duties as needed.

**Qualifications**
- 5 years experience in multi-provincial payroll experience, including Quebec
- 1-2 years experience with Ceridian Dayforce is required.
- Bi-lingual in French and English is a strong asset.
- 2 - 3 years experience supervising payroll staff is an asset.
- Canadian Payroll Association designation.
- Previous experience with implementation and transitioning acquisitions into Payroll is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience with improving payroll processes, benefits administration and business efficiencies.
- Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Experience in the transportation or waste industry is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Responsive to time sensitive questions and requests.
