**Position Overview**:
**MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING SHIFT**

To supervise and coordinate electrical, instrumentation and mechanical activities. Activities include but are not limited to, the development and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program, coordination of maintenance issues and fostering a positive and innovative work environment. The Maintenance Supervisor performs duties in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establishes a safe, transparent and constructive culture that recognizes excellent performance and high standards
- Ensures members of the Casting team are trained and able to perform their role safely and in a proficient manner
- Works closely with management in the development of and execution of daily operating plans
- Seeks out ways to trouble shoot and address issues to proactively maintain process and output
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives and suggests new, cost-effective ideas and ways of achieving success
- Supervises and schedules the work of others and ensures work is undertaken to required standards. Sets and monitors performance, holds regular ‘Toolbox’ talks and gives positive direction and praise to team members.
- Participates in the recruitment and onboarding of team members and ensures close monitoring of performance during probationary periods
- Provides support and guidance and is a role model to team members in the proficient operation of Casting, Shipping and Receiving processes
- Interact with all key stakeholders including: employees, managers, vendors and customers

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in Metallurgy, Production or Mechanical engineering or Science required
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or Science preferred

**Experience**
- 2-3 years supervisory experience is preferred
- 3-5 years related work experience
- Working in a manufacturing environment
- Working in a unionized Foundry setting preferred

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
