Kitchener, Canada Enova Power Corp. Full time

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Operate construction equipment including truck with trailers, dump truck, torpedo, jack hammer, compactor, compressor, and other motorized devices
- Responsible for the care, minor maintenance and use of all tools and equipment
- With mínimal supervision one must be able to excavate, backfill, lay cable/ducts, pull cable, pour concrete, repair asphalt, landscaping, and installing/removing poles
- Assist in the construction of concrete submersible transformer vault collars, construct concrete cable riser guards, remove concrete formwork, forming and constructing sidewalks, constructing concrete block retaining walls in transformer enclosures, and basic carpentry work such as construction of plywood enclosures and rough carpentry work
- Assist with the rebuild of concrete vaults and pull boxes and construction of concrete foundations for building and enclosures and generally perform all types of manual labour
- Perform work around insulated energized cables using appropriate tools, protective equipment and work methods
- Operate motor vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Perform daily CVOR inspections and report any defects
- Perform work in a safe manner in compliance with applicable legislation and corporate rules, procedures and policies. The incumbent must take an active role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment
- Work in accordance with approved work plans and prepare tailboard sheets
- Respond to emergency call-ins

**Qualifications**
- Requires a minimum of a Grade 12 secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Class ‘AZR’ driver’s license
- Must have some experience with construction carpentry
- Must be certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR
- Have excellent verbal skills and a demonstrated ability to interpret drawings, sketches and diagrams and to work from work from verbal and written instructions, specifications and standards
- Must demonstrate excellent operational skills with the tools and equipment used in the job
- Requires a working knowledge of industry regulations, the Electrical Utility Safety Rules, the Work Protection Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related Construction and Industrial Regulations and relevant company policies and work procedures
- Have an excellent safety and attendance record
- Must be able to perform the duties of the job including manual labour
