Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager of Operations to join our team at our corporate office in Winnipeg.

The IT Manager of Operations is responsible for the management of all aspects of server and end-user computing, IT infrastructure and networks, software and services while ensuring strong service and support delivery.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead the IT Operations team - which includes network, server, software, identity management, and enterprise operations and support services.
- Protect organization assets, information, and identities through the design and implementation of strong security and control structures, back-up procedures, disaster recovery and incident response plans, following industry security standard frameworks.
- Create, negotiate, and maintain IT vendor contracts for services provided by the IT operations team.
- Install, configure, and maintain core infrastructure and networking equipment, including both physical hardware and cloud-based resources.
- Maintain department staffing levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees to meet operational demands.
- Support and lead staff including coaching, evaluating, continuous improvement and attendance.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- University degree or equivalent education in Information Technology
- Minimum of five years of information technology experience, three years of which in a management or senior infrastructure and or operations role.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience fostering a collaborative team approach to decision-making and the ability to influence, promote innovation and engage stakeholders.
- Previous experience with strong security and protection systems and measures, with the ability to write and implement plans, policies, and procedures to protect infrastructure systems and services preferred.
- Previous experience with PCI DSS compliance, security frameworks, business continuity and disaster recovery concepts and detection and remediation measures are major assets.
