**Veterinarian - Emergency Medicine (Small Animal)**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Evaluate patients, establish treatment plans, supervise, and assist the teams and carry out treatments, and diagnostics for emergency cases for all species
- Work closely with Veterinary specialties, including Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Neurology and Dentistry.
- Perform and supervise emergency procedures, including surgery
- Work with a team of Veterinary Assistants, Technicians and other Veterinarians
- Teach and improve the quality of the care provided by all personnel at our hospital
- Provide recommendations on the purchase and maintenance of equipment to the Manager of the Emergency Veterinary team
- Implement tools and processes for proving care and communicating with clients.
- Work a variety of shifts, including Overnights and weekends on a rotating schedule

**Requirements**:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Fluency in English is required. Individuals with bilingual language skills (French and English) are encouraged to apply.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in the province of Ontario (Canada) issued by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario.
