**ED-4640-3 - Educating for Global Citizenship****:

- 1 French section**

This course introduces students to the visible and invisible impact of culture and society on education. As students develop an understanding of cultural and social perspectives in education, they examine the roles of schools in the proliferation of social and cultural norms as well as their potential as sites for change.

This course is offered in French online to students in our Bachelor of Education (français langue seconde) program from September 18 to December 6. The course will be a combination of asynchronous and synchronous classes. Synchronous classes will be scheduled for the first class, Week 6, and Week 10, at a time negotiated by the instructor and students.

**Qualifications**:
**French positions** in the Faculty of Education are delivered completely in French. Instructors must be proficient in reading, writing, and oral interaction in French. All class work will be assessed in French.
