Possess excellent understanding of journalism, photography, video and social media
- Respond immediately to breaking news and drive a sense of urgency around the online platform
- Be responsible for a wide range of writing assignments, photography, video and social media engagement
- Assist with the ongoing development of website optimization and content
- Demonstrate initiative and determination to improve and supplement both digital and print platforms
- Hold a formal journalism degree or diploma or relevant experience
- A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and smartphone are required
Work will be based out of the Wetaskiwin office. Shifts may include weekends, early morning starts and/or evening coverage. Black Press Media offers competitive salary and benefit packages.
