Brilliant Minds Academy is a new early learning school that is committed to providing exceptional classical early learning experiences for young minds. This childcare facility will be providing childcare services to families in Okotoks, educating children from 12 months to 5 years of age.

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Director to join our team. This is the perfect position for someone looking to gain experience in establishing and managing a new daycare. As the Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational foundation of our students. You will lead a team of passionate educators, create a stimulating and enriching environment, and uphold the values of classical education. This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of classical pedagogy, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to inspire both students and staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations
- Implement a classical curriculum that aligns with the principles of classical education.
- Provide guidance and support to educators in delivering high-quality, classical instruction.
- Foster an environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development
- Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements
- Perform classroom observations to ensure that staff are implementing developmentally appropriate practices throughout the entire day.
- Create community events for teachers and families
- Manage the work schedules of teaching and administrative staff.
- Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies
- Keeps accurate files on employees
- Administrative Duties - processing enrollments, keeping track of attendance and health records, keeping all student files up to date, including emergency contact information, medical information, and behavioral incidents and records.
- Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies
- Manage and oversee the budget, payroll and accounts and ensure that the center remains profitable
- Develop and facilitate a marketing and communications plan

Qualifications:

- ECE Level 3 with experience of management as Director or Assistant Director
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Current Criminal History Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
- Deep knowledge and understanding of classical education principles or demonstrated willingness to learn.
- Intermediate skills of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Strong communication and organization skills

**Salary**:
Full-time, Salary depends upon experience and qualifications
