Pedagogical Consultant

**Nature of the work**

The position of education consultant encompasses, in particular, responsibility for providing advice and support to staff of educational institutions and services in the implementation, development and evaluation of programs of study, class management and instructional materials.

**Daily Tasks/Dossiers**
- Ability to provide advice and support to teachers either individually or in a group format in matters pertaining to their daily teaching activities;
- Ability to support new vocational teachers in understanding the program of study and evaluation crietria
- Ability to work with teachers and staff to prepare and implement strategies and projects aimed at helping students who are experiencing or are likely to experience social maladjustments or learning difficulties;
- Ability to develop or select and deliver training and instrumentation activities designed to respond to needs in pedagogical adaptation, innovation, and development
- Ability to design and lead training workshops and sessions on program or curriculum components;
- Ability to help defuse crisis or emergency situations and to propose solutions;
- Ability to collaborate as an active and positive member of a multi-disciplinary resource team and of a professional network

**Other Requirements**:

- Excellent knowledge of the Quebec Vocational Training Program of Study;
- Experience supporting teachers with students with diverse profiles, needs and abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of pedagogical strategies to support differentiated instruction and inclusive education
- Ability to onboard and support new teachers in the planning of their compencies;
- Experience with supporting teachers enrolled in the Bachelor of Vocational Education;
- Experience using technology to support online learning
- Strong presentation skills and ability to lead professional development workshops
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English and French

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree with an appropriate specialty, notably education - Brevet d’enseignement Quebec or relevant experience
