**Metro Build Program Manager**

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a
**Metro Build Program Manager**, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. **Responsibilities**:
As a Metro Build Program Manager, your success will be measured by:
**_
Data Center Build Operations_**
- Establish good working relationships with all the Construction stakeholders
- Attend all Metro new build, expansion and retrofit project related design, construction, and commissioning meetings.
- Be the liaison between Construction and Operations (be the voice for Operations) and escalate any issues that could cause impact
- Participate in all Construction/Operations walk throughs, as well as routine construction inspections during the builds
- Coordinate and execute turnover operations, ensure turnover checklist is completed and validated, and all turnover artifacts are delivered on time.
- Document and report lessons learned from each project

**_Service Delivery_**
- Able to balance leadership, influence skills, supportive individual contributions, project management, and expertise in enterprise-level operations.
- Monitors services and KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, and OLAs and reports trends and service anomalies.
- Keep track of all the latest and upcoming key milestones and deliverables
- Leads key processes, such as team and triage meetings, prioritizes work across the team, and rebalances priorities to respond to changes.
- Standardizing infrastructure equipment, processes, and workflows through design, construction, and turnover of these world class facilities.
- Assisting with new facility design & commissioning, coordinating to installation of core network infrastructures.

**_ Ownership_**
- In alignment with management priorities, holds self accountable for the end-to-end service quality, completeness, and resulting customer experience (including but not limited to availability, safety, security, customer service). Supports escalation of issues to appropriate owner.

**Qualifications**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- 5+ years’ project management experience working on large scale projects in an engineering and/or construction management role
- 5+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology within data centers
- 3+ years’ experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) OR working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling)

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Technical College degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.

Background Check Requirements:_**

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
- Verification of identity, background, education, professional credentials, personal and professional references, credit check and criminal background check.
- Reliability Status screening may also require a security questionnaire and security interview.
- To obtain the requisite clearance within required timelines, applicants must have five (5) years of continuous Canadian residency
