**Position Description**

The IT/DS Analyst (Reporting Specialist) will be primarily responsible for transforming data into consumable products through:

- Collaborating with team members to design, develop, test and release dashboards for provincial data sets in accordance with external stakeholders’ data needs
- Fulfilling custom data requests
- Attention to data quality, carrying out data quality checks and processes, and identifying opportunities and processes to enhance data quality
- Responding to service requests from stakeholders via our service desk hub
- Participating in other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**

All skills listed below are required unless otherwise stated as an asset.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in data science, analytics or related field plus three (3) years of experience with healthcare clinical systems
- Experience working with data sets and data systems in the community addictions and mental health and/or harm reduction sectors
- Proficiency working with business intelligence and data visualization tools, with experience using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server preferred
- Experience with SQL
- Proficiency in building dashboards and data visualizations containing complex calculations, parameters, and filters
- Ability to understand data needs of consumers with varying levels of data literacy
- Experience assessing data quality, and conducting and implementing data quality practices and processes
- Extensive experience in collaborating with internal/external stakeholders utilizing effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Experience developing test plans and carrying out testing, and QA
- Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills is required
- Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with aggressive project timeframes
- Knowledge of best practices for data collection, privacy, and health equity
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team of technically-oriented individuals
- Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset

**Please Note**: This full-time, temporary (12 months) position is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.

**Salary Range**:$35.81 - $48.30 per hour
