**What do we expect of you**:
- Post-secondary education focused on accounting such as a diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
- 3-5+ years accounting experience.
- Proficient in using cloud-based accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities & work assignments.
- Exceptional customer service skills, building & maintaining trusting client relationships.
- Broad experience in managing general ledgers, bank/loan/account reconciliations & tax remittances for medium & small-sized businesses.
- Proven capability in preparing & analyzing financial statements & reports.
- Experience in providing relevant & constructive guidance to team members & clients.
- Capacity to assume responsibility for increasingly complex tasks & assignments.
- Team player, positively impacting & supporting colleagues.
- Demonstrate discretion in handling confidential information.
**What you will be doing**:
- Conduct routine record-keeping of financial transactions using leading-edge accounting & financial management systems at an increasing broader & complex level.
- Prepare & remit regulatory government filings.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations & financial analyses.
- Prepare interim & year-end financial statements.
- Prepare & issue financial statements & relevant reports for our clients & other stakeholders.
- Lead &/or review the work of Junior Accountants through delegation, training & mentoring.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate & timely completion of client deliverables.
- Assist Associates & Senior Associates with client projects as assigned.
- Embrace feedback & mentoring from colleagues to further develop skills & abilities.
- Participating in team activities and offering support to colleagues, helping to build a strong & cohesive work environment.
